Google Goggles managed to identify the painting accurately, flush though taking a photo of a computer display with my iPhone meant that the picture was washed proscribed and detail-little. Astonishing.
So IT looks like Google Goggles for the iPhone, which is now uncommitted via the Google Motile iPhone app, is in reality quite good at doing what it says it does. Alas, it still can't identify people, animals, operating room cars (I proved to discover my very distinctive clownfish–didn't operate), but they're decidedly getting there.
